EQUINEÂ OSTEOPATHY
I’m currently studying an International Diploma in Equine Osteopathy with the London College of Animal Osteopaths (LCAO) and will be able to provide Equine Osteopathy services in 2025.
The course is based on classical structural osteopathy and developed by Stuart MacGregor, DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) a renowned UK animal osteopath.
What is osteopathy?
LCAO defines osteopathy as “...a drug-free, non-invasive manual therapy that aims to improve health across all body systems by manipulating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework. Manual therapy means that both diagnosis and treatment are carried out with the hands. An osteopath will focus on the joints, muscles, and spine, with the treatment positively affecting the body's nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems.”
The course is accredited and approved by a number of organisations, including Osteopaths New Zealand, Osteopathy Australia, Osteopathic Centre for Animals UK, American Association of Veterinary State Boards, International Veterinary Chiropractic Association, International Association for Massage.
